Make Sure Your Windows XP?s Clock is Always Up-to-date
If your PC’s BIOS battery is running low, you may find that Windows XP clock starts to slow, and doesn’t tell the right time. This can cause problems for many applications which rely on being able to find the correct time in order to function. This can be quickly solved by stetting Windows XP to synchronize its clock with an online time server, meaning the clock on your PC is always accurate. Even if your PC’s BIOS battery is fine, following the steps below will ensure that the time in Windows XP is always accurate:
1. Click Start > Control Panel > Date and Time.
2. Click on the Internet Time tab.
3. Tick the option Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server, then enter time.windows.com into the Server field.
4. Click Update Now, then click OK.
